Avaye Zan supports the struggle of women for freedom, equality and justice.
Avaye Zan brings women living in the Australian community together to better their lives and the lives of their families.
The program which is broadcast in Persian (Farsi) focuses on issues affecting the lives of women, in Australia and more specifically in Iran.
Disseminating information with regards to community action and services, that can assist women in dealing with issues that impact their lives negatively. Issues such as domestic violence, child abuse, women’s safety in workplace and society, economic status of women, equal pay, women’s health and other relevant and contemporary problems are discussed. And through raising consciousness and advocacy with respect to women’s rights, the program aims to improve the quality of life of Farsi speaking migrant women.
