  • Triple H 100.1FM has a priority to connect with the Hornsby Kuringgai community.
  • Triple H 100.1FM has been actively working at integrating into the Hornsby Ku-ring-gai community in a number of ways ,including, interviewing members of the community - community leaders, charities, not-for-profits, and members doing things in the community to help such as running barbeques even doing outside broadcasts at sport games, school fetes and local community events.
Triple H 100.1FM has been able to significantly increase the community engagement activities with the help of a grant from the CBAA - Community Broadcasting Association of Australia. This funding has helped Triple H 100.1FM to offer opportunities to the Hornsby Ku-ring-gai community.

Some examples of the community engagement activities undertaken are:

  • Triple H programs did well over 100+ interviews in the six months between Jul 17 - Jan31, 18.
  • There were approximately 10 community events attended during that time - some with OB plus a large fundraiser - International Womens Day 2017, Australia Day 2017, Berowra Woodchopping Festival 2017, Bunnings BBQs and many others.
  • Training workshops done to increase number of presenters - about 10 members of the community go through the vigorous Triple H training and they complete their certification being able to present on-air.
  • Increased number of programs doing interviews - now 5 drive time programs plus 4 Breakfast programs
  • 3 page feature in Monthly Chronicle detailing the programs and involvement with the community.

If you have an event you would like an outside broadcast to have, you know of someone who would be great to interview, there's an event needing a BBQ or you're running an event - get in contact with the Triple H station manager for more details.

1.  At the Triple H Christmas Party - Awards were given out to members who have gone above and beyond to help Triple H with the many facets of running a community radio station.
The Triple H - Dave Gillette award is only given to recipients of the highest standing.
Dave Gillette was a member who was an exceptional trainer and radio presenter who gave his all to see Triple H flourish. Sadly, Dave Gillette passed away after a car accident and this award is in his honour - only the best of the best are the recipients.
For 2017, Jason "Noddy" Vellely was awarded the Dave Gillette award for
1. Outstanding commitment and diligence to production of his weekly "Aussie Music Weekly" that goes Australia wide,
2. Commitment to the Training Committee and running of Presenters workshops training 100's of attendees through the workshop.
3. Helping with fundraising initiatives whenever possible. Congratulations Jason, a reward , very well deserved.
